Children's Ministry

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me,
and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven
belongs to such as these."

[Luke 18:16]

St. Andrew Children's Ministries are here to partner with you on your parenting journey.

We want to provide support, encouragement, and opportunities to help your kids grow

to love God with all their hearts.

Every Sunday at 10 am we offer Sunday School classes and Nursery services.

Sunday School

10:00am

Our Sunday School class takes place during the service.  When you arrive your children will begin by sitting with you in the church sanctuary.  Once Grandma Joan has called the children to the front and shared a story with them, the children will leave for Sunday School with their teachers.

Our Sunday School space and Nursery are located on our lower level. Come have a look around. Get to know our wonderful teachers. You can pop down at any point during the service to check on your children.

* The first Sunday of every month, the Sunday School children provide hospitality for the congregation after the 10:00am service. During the time usually spent learning a Bible lesson, the children are involved with baking, and setting up for coffee time. Then they help at the coffee time and help to clean up. It is a wonderful time for the generations to mix and an opportunity for both the children and the adults to show their appreciation for one another.

Finding Sunday School

Nursery & Baby Support

St. Andrew supports babies and children in our services and understands that parents may prefer to keep newborns with them. Please ensure strollers are parked away from exits. Downstairs from Miller Hall we have a fully stocked Nursery where parents can drop in to feed or change babies and toddlers.

Please visit our Nursery and see if your baby may be ready to stay with our Nursery Workers. Parents are free to come and go from the Nursery at any time.  There is a baby change station in one of the washrooms located off of Miller Hall.

Teachers in Sunday School

We have a wonderful team of volunteer leaders who are all members of our parish community. Please note, that for the safety of your child/children, all our volunteers who are involved with Sunday School have undergone a thorough Police Background check and participated in a Screening Program.

Health & Safety

We make every attempt to have a safe, fun, healthy, child-friendly space. We are also sensitive to allergies and provide peanut free snacks. Please review our policies for Nursery and for Sick Children to help us as we strive to maintain a healthy environment and minimize spread of illness. When registering your children, it is important that you provide us with any important health information.
