Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16
Sunday School 10:00am
Sunday School Program
Our Sunday School class takes place during the service. When you arrive your children will begin by sitting with you in the church sanctuary. Once Grandma Joan has called the children to the front and shared a story with them, the children will leave for Sunday School with their teachers.
This Fall; 2019 at St. Andrew, we are using a curriculum called Walk With Me.
We are going to begin our fall program by teaching the children an unit called God Made Everything. Stories include:
Creation: Skies and Seas, Plants and Trees
Creation: Animals and People
Taking Care of God's Creation
Sin Spoils God's World
We will then continue with a unit entitled God Keeps Promises. Stories include:
Abraham and Sarah
Birth of Isaac
Isaac and Rebekah
* The first Sunday of every month, the Sunday School children provide hospitality for the congregation after the 10:00am service. During the time usually spent learning a Bible lesson, the children are involved with baking, and setting up for coffee time. Then they help at the coffee time and help to clean up. It is a wonderful time for the generations to mix and an opportunity for both the children and the adults to show their appreciation of one another.
Finding Sunday School
Sunday School takes place in the downstairs, in Fiddler Hall. The children begin each Sunday with their parents/guardians in the church and then leave with the Sunday School teachers after the children's talk. Please feel welcome to accompany your child/children downstairs and stay until you and your child/children feel acclimatised to the surroundings.
Nursery and Baby Support
St. Andrew supports babies and children in our services and understands that parents may prefer to keep newborns with them. Please ensure strollers are parked away from exits. Downstairs from Miller Hall we have a fully stocked Nursery where parents can drop in to feed or change babies and toddlers. Please visit our Nursery and see if your baby may be ready to stay with our Nursery Workers. Parents are free to come and go from the Nursery at any time. There is a baby change station in one of the washrooms located off of Miller Hall.
Leaders in Sunday School
We have a wonderful team of volunteer leaders who are all members of our parish community. Please note, that for the safety of your child/children, all our volunteers who are involved with Sunday School have undergone a thorough Police Background check and participated in a Screening Program.
Health and Safety Concerns
We make every attempt to have a safe, fun, healthy, child-friendly space. We are also sensitive to allergies and provide peanut free snacks. Please review our policies for Nursery and for Sick Children to help us as we strive to maintain a healthy environment and minimize spread of illness. When registering your children, it is important that you provide us with any important health information.
St. Andrew Children's Ministries are here to partner with you on your parenting journey. We want to provide support, encouragement, and opportunities to help your kids grow to love God with all their hearts.
If you are interested in supporting this important ministry of the church, you will need to email the office to fill out forms, complete a Police Check Application and attend a Church Sexual Misconduct Training.

Don’t let the busyness of life keep you from catching up on important parenting tips and resources available to kids to enhance their Biblical teaching. We encourage families to sign up for the “Thriving Family” e-newsletter. And its’ FREE!! What a wonderful way to supplement what kids learn at church.
An EXTREMELY valuable resource. Focus on the Family has been reviewing the latest movies, TV shows and video games to provide detailed information on content, so you know what your watching before you turn it on. This helps families make an informed decision to the media that their children consume and opens up a great opportunity for discussion and making choices together.
