POSITION AVAILABLE :
MUSIC & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
St. Andrew Anglican Church is currently seeking a Music & Artistic Director to develop and lead the worship music ministry.
This individual will also be responsible for sourcing artistic media and images for screen projection, and for creating a team to support this function.
We are a small, but vibrant church in the heart of downtown Alliston (New Tecumseth), Ontario.
The church has several outreach programs for children and youth, as well as groups visiting hospital and senior homes. We also have prayer ministry, hold three Bible studies, and run special events and conferences. The adjacent Retreat House is dedicated to a developing healing ministry.
The Music Director will be a leader who enjoys working in a team, and who likes cultivating learning and growth for both older and younger individuals.
As a leader of praise and worship, the director will make prayer and devotion an important part of his or her life.
The director should be knowledgeable of, or willing to learn, traditional Anglican music, as well as contemporary Christian music. Applicants should be accomplished musicians, with skills at the keyboard and in choir direction.
The primary role is to accompany the congregational singing at the 10.00 a.m. Sunday morning service, but there will also be opportunities to organize and lead musical performances for special events.
The building has excellent acoustics and is equipped with a high-end Kawai Digital Stage piano with organ and orchestral sounds, and a professional grade digital board and PA system.
This paid position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, joyful and committed Christian to find ways to help us fill this architectural jewel of a building with songs of praise to our Lord.
If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to discuss it further, call Rev. Kim McArthur, 705-435-9711, or e-mail
Deadline for receiving resumes is Friday, March 15, 2019.
