Thomas J. Wilson- Youth Ministry Leader

Thomas J. Wilson loves being a part of the St. Andrew Community.  Born and raised in Toronto, he immediately felt welcome and right at home in Alliston after moving here in June 2000.  He is quoted as saying “Alliston, in this time and place, feels much like west end Toronto in the 1960’s”.  Friendly neighbors and caring friends, personable shopkeepers and interesting personalities keep balance with a busy work and church life for Tom.

Tom and his partner Catherine never run out of things to do and projects to complete around a home built in the 1890’s.  It is a true labour of love, but one that Tom is well equipped to handle, using woodworking skills learned at OCA and honed from many years as a carpenter and furniture maker.

Tom’s role as Youth Leader at St. Andrew’s, working to bring the message of God’s love and promise to a group of great kids growing up in Christ, fills him up and brings true spiritual meaning to his life. 

Tom has two great kids of his own, Samantha and Stephanie, who also bring joy and delight to his life.  He loves when they can all share in the fun and fellowship planned for our St. Andrew’s youth group. 

As well as delivering the Word, Tom loves to cook, is an avid and award winning photographer, a highly skilled woodworker and he can sing and act!  He looks forward to sharing all of this and more with the kids at St. Andrew’s.
