The Rev. S. Kim McArthur

Kim is the Parish Priest of our Church. Her formal education includes a Masters of Divinity from Trinity College, University of Toronto where she also studied Spiritual Direction at Regis College and Pastoral Counselling at the Toronto School of Theology.

Before coming into the church, Kim spent 30 years in Corporate life. While running a Training Division she worked with Industrial Psychologists and became intrigued with human giftedness and potential. She began this part of her spiritual journey with the idea of opening a Spiritual Retreat Centre to help people put their lives back on track; so that they may fully realize their giftedness and life.

Instead, as Kim was led forward in those preparations found that God had called her into his Church; as if to say … “Yes, those whom I have created are indeed marvellous beings … but look at what is possible when you add ‘my Grace and Mercy’ into the equation. My power working through them can do infinitely more than they could ever have asked for or imagined … but it all starts and ends with Me. Before they were born, I knew them and loved them; and always will. Each and every individual created is unique and very dear to me, and created for a purpose – mine.”

It is in the community of our Lord God’s church … where we come together week after week to remember ‘who we are’ … and ‘whose we are’ that we find our life; and our joy. It is in that community of God’s people that Kim finds her tremendous joy … and her purpose, as she follows our Lord Jesus Christ in His work in our world today. In His church she is able to see up close and personal miracles of healing, and lives touched and transformed by the One who loves them so very much - God.

Kim is married to Rick and together they have four adult children: Chris, Jenn, Adam and Jill, and three wonderful grandchildren Abby, Bella & Nathan.

Kim’s hobbies centre around her deep love of nature and animals. Kim cares for an assortment of God’s creatures in her barnyard, which help to keep a rhythm and balance to her busy life. Each one has a story …
