A recent import to the area (Fall 2007), Nanette is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, where she studied voice and choral conducting with Dr. Doreen Rao. While there she was the manager and soloist of the University Women's Chorus with Ann Cooper-Gay and manager of the MacMillan Singers. She has sung under the baton of many notable conductors such as Robert Shaw, Elmer Iseler, John Poole, Robert Cooper & John Rutter. She toured with the Ontario Youth Choir working with Jon Washburn, Wayne Strongman, and Lydia Adams and has sung with many other community and church choirs including the Amadeus Choir. Most recently she was a soloist with the New Tecumseth Singers in their performance of Handel's Messiah and the Victoria Day celebrations at the Gibson Centre. Since 2009 Nanette has been the Artistic Director and conductor of the South Simcoe Youth Choir.
