Barbara Burling – Deputy Priest’s Warden

Barbara was born and raised in Riverside (Windsor) Ontario, of English parents.  She was baptised in the Anglican Church, but grew up in the United Church, returning to the Anglican Church in her late teens.  She has two daughters and is the proud Grandma to Andrew. Her husband Ray is deceased (1985.)

Barbara and family moved to Toronto in 1965, she has been involved in Brownies and Girl Guides and was captain of two Guide Companies.   She volunteered at the Red Cross as a teenager, was a member of Young Peoples group, church and school choirs.   She has been a member of ACW at three different churches; on Advisory Board at two and became Deputy Priest’s Warden at St. Andrew in 2008.

Barbara’s hobbies include – reading, curling, gardening, golfing, and enjoyment of the outdoors.  She has done some travelling but considers herself a home body.

Barbara was employed for thirty years in the food industry for a Food Broker/Manufacturer and before that had office experience in a jewellery store, plumbing and heating wholesaler and a greeting card company. Upon retirement in 2003, she moved to Alliston.
